Job Description

We are looking for a part-time Guest Service Agent who has a passion for engaging with and assisting guests and colleagues.  You will support the Front Office Duty Manager with daily tasks at Reception and create a welcoming space for our guests.  This role offers a great development opportunity to grow your skills and confidence in a busy hotel right in the heart of Melbourne, and to join the Accor group.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a unique and personalized experience for each guest at our hotel by creating connections and using creative ways to exceed guest expectations.
  • Assisting with reservations booking requests or enquiries via phone or email and ensuring guest details are accurately recorded in the PMS system
  • Taking and directing all incoming calls
  • Sharing information about the hotel and the local area with our guests
  • Assisting guests with luggage
  • Maintaining the presentation of the front desk and hotel lobby

Qualifications

  • Availability to work a rotating roster including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and public holidays. Occasional overnight shifts may be required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritise tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and good keyboard skills
  • Knowledge of the RMS property management system would be an advantage, however training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Familiarity with Melbourne and the ability to make recommendations to guests is desirable but not essential
  • You must have current working rights in Australia - student visa holders are encouraged to apply. We are unable to provide sponsorship for this role.
