In the position of Assistant Front Office Manager, you will act as the right hand of our Front Office Manager, Amy. It's a great opportunity for you if you're currently working as a Front Office Supervisor or (assistant) manager in another department. Interested? Then read on!

Novotel Amsterdam City has 610 rooms, meaning that more than 1,300 guests stay at the hotel daily. The Front Office ensures that every guest has an unforgettable experience, from check-in to check-out. The Front Office consists of approximately 25 colleagues, including the Manager, 3 Supervisors, 20 Team Members, and possibly you as the new Assistant Manager.

What you are going to do
As a F&B supervisor you will be responsible for our restaurant, the bar, the lounge and our room service. Of course you get enough space for your own development! So, do you want to focus on your own development as well as your team in their professional behavior? Keep on reading!

As the F&B Supervisor at our restaurant, you play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service throughout the day. With a seating capacity of just over 300, our establishment prides itself on delivering a consistently high standard of hospitality from breakfast through to dinner. Working closely with your colleagues, you oversee the smooth operation of the F&B department. Your leadership shines as you motivate and inspire your team to deliver their best performance. You maintain a keen focus on service quality, constantly seeking ways to improve the guest experience. You also like to be creative within your department and see challenges as opportunities for improvement. Your proactive approach means you're always ready with solutions to any issues that may arise. Administrative duties such as scheduling, restaurant planning, and adherence to procedures also fall within your purview. Your meticulous attention to detail ensures compliance with HACCP standards. Regular evaluations and coaching sessions with your team keep everyone aligned and continuously improving. Your management skills make you capable at handling large events, thanks to your ability to oversee operations with a holistic perspective, ensuring everything runs seamlessly.

Qualifications

You should have

  • Completed MBO level 3 diploma
  • Insight into the regulations in the field of safety and hygiene
  • At least two years of work experience
