Company Description

Billed as ‘the first luxurious integrated resort in Jeddah’, Rixos Obhur Jeddah will meet the increasing demand for luxurious hospitality paired with high-quality leisure activities in the area. The resort will host guests in 247 residential units, including 174 rooms and 73 villas, as well as a fine-dining restaurant, two specialty beach restaurants and a lounge bar. Among its many highlights will be an exclusive private beach. Other amenities are to include a central ballroom for events, meeting rooms, a fitness center, a spa, kids and teens clubs, and several swimming pools. All of this will be set amid green landscaping, golden beaches and a port.


Job Description

•    Have access to the press kit of Rixos and all other information material about the group.
•    Collection of press clippings and build up a press archive.
•    Treatment of press inquiries of the hotel, hand over press inquiries about Rixos to the Corporate Public Relations Department.
•    Get in contact with the local journalists, invite them, visit them and keep a constant relation.
•    Build up relations to local community, embassies, institutions, administrations etc.
•    Care about journalists or VIPs during their stay in the hotel.
•    Keep the press relations with small gifts, invitations or visits.
•    Preparation, organization and follow up of PR Events.
•    Organize press cocktails or press lunches in the hotel.
•    Upkeep & maintain hotel’s image on all important online channels – twitter, trip advisor, holiday check, top hotels, etc.
•    Keep the hotel staff informed about news, pass relevant information about Rixos.
•    Marketing activities to support Rooms, F & B & Banquet sales.
•    Constant information flow between General Manager, Hotel Manager and other HOD’s.
•    Delivery of news for any internal company magazine (via Corporate Public Relations)
•    Be connected with other Rixos hotels for cross marketing
•    Have knowledge about the Rixos group and know what Rixos is all about
•    Take part in the yearly Public Relations workshop organized by Corporate Public Relations
•    Give support to Corporate Public Relations in all required subjects
•    To comply with all hotel rules and regulations as outlined in the handbook and to be aware of company disciplinary and grievance procedures.
•    To create an environment which promotes employee morale and encourages the team to have pride in their department with a high level of commitment.
•    Marketing budget – Forecasting, Planning, & Monitoring.
•    Contact with local journalists, local community, institutions, embassies.
•    Press releases to local press about news and current events in the hotel.
•    Treatment of press inquiries about the hotel.
•    Organization of PR Events.
 


Qualifications

•  Bachelor Degree in Marketing 

•  Hospitality experience in a senior management role
