Director of Engineering

Movenpick Hotel is a 5-star premium category. It is located in the heart of Karachi and the biggest property of Karachi, Pakistan.

• This position is responsible in ensuring the efficient operation of the hotel property and all its equipment, ancillary maintenance and repair services and protection of the Owner's asset.
• Structural aspects of the hotel as well as the maintenance of grounds and external facilities fall within the span of responsibility of the Director Of Engineering.
• Financial acumen is key as you assist in controlling expenditure and managing CAPEX projects. Your strategic oversight will be crucial in selecting suppliers, tracking project completion, and ensuring cost-effective operations. As a vital link between the engineering department and the broader hotel team, you will drive efficiency, maintain high standards, and ensure every detail contributes to an exceptional guest experience.

• Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior engineering operations position or 2-3 years of experience in a similar capacity
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the hotel industry
• Relevant trade qualifications in electrical and/or mechanical services are advantageous
• Comprehensive understanding of fire safety systems and protocols
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
• Exceptional communicator with experience managing maintenance functions in large-scale operations
• Ability to perform emergency maintenance outside regular working hours
• Strong knowledge of computer systems, financial reporting, and inventory management
