We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commi 1- Bakery to join our culinary team in Mysuru, India. As a vital member of our bakery department, you will assist in the preparation and production of high-quality baked goods while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
- Assist in the preparation and production of various baked goods, including bread, pastries, and desserts
- Follow recipes and instructions from senior chefs accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations and timely delivery of baked products
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages
- Participate in the presentation and plating of baked goods
- Assist in the proper storage and labeling of ingredients and finished products
- Contribute to menu development by suggesting new ideas and improvements
- Operate and maintain bakery equipment safely and efficiently
- Adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a professional bakery or similar culinary role
- Basic culinary education or training in baking techniques
- Thorough understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and HACCP principles
- Proficiency in following recipes and measuring ingredients accurately
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage time effectively
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs)
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Basic math skills for recipe calculations and inventory management
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and recipes
- Passion for baking and creating high-quality products
