Reporting to the General Manager, this role ensures engineering planning, direction, control and activities for operating smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate has been in a similar role, leading a multi-talented technical team with qualifications in bachelors of engineering. The candidate ideally must have not less than ten years operating experience in engineering department.

• Participates in the execution of new projects including planning and costing.
• Coordinates with Security Contractors in all aspect of the safety and security of the hotel properties
• Prepares work schedules.
• Prepare Engineering budget and participates in business plan preparation.
• Holds regular communication meetings with the staff and other departments.
• Maintains discipline.
• Ensures the implementation of all instructions given by the Management.
• Conducts routine inspections of the entire building including mechanical areas.
• Supervises the implementation of all maintenance contracts.
• Carries out fire brigade duties as required.
• Initiates energy and water conservation plans, as per Accor’s environmental charter.
• Responds quickly to guest request / complaints ensuring courteous, professional service.
• Ensures that health, hygiene and safety regulations are complied with and applied in the hotel in compliance with HACCP standards and procedures set by the Dubai Municipality
• Responsible for directing, controlling, coordinating and participating in all Engineering activities
• In charge of the daily operation of the Engineering department
• Identify and develop staff capacities and skills among the team
• Provide support and guidance to subordinates
• Plan and organize training such as civil defense, first aid, fire drill trainings
• Prepares and participates in the departmental training plan.

• Graduate Engineer in the discipline of Electrical / Mechanical
• At least ten years of overall operating experience in MEP engineering department.
• 4 years of Managerial Working Experience on
