Job Description

Job Purpose

This position is responsible to oversee the day-to-day accounting operation, reporting, compliance,- and to assist the Director of Finance ensuring the hotel financial strategy is implemented accordance with Hotel’s policy & procedures.

Primary Responsibilities

  • To supervise daily accounting operations, supervising, controls, mentoring staff, ensuring teamwork and efficient and effective operation.
  • To verify daily bank balances through review of bank statements, prepare bank reconciliation and credit card reconciliation for Director of Finance approval.
  • To verify the accuracy of General Cashier report and that revenue are daily deposited into the bank by the General Cashier.
  • To perform month-end accounts reconciliation of all general ledger balances before issuing monthly financial statements. Report any gaps or variance to the Director of Finance.
  • To review monthly report like F&B report, Cost Controller’s report etc. as per hotel policy
  • To ensure all tax payment and filing are respected timely, and variances are resolved.
  • To prepare various monthly reports as required by Management.
  • To assist the Director of Finance in reviewing CAPEX, application of accounting policy, budgeting, financial analysis, and Ad hoc duties.
  • To ensure proper filing of accounting records, including contract, and easy retrievals.
  • To keep updated with new regulations and Accor policies.

Team Management

  • Interview, select, recruit direct report, and perform induction program.  
  • Conduct performance review and manages performance issues that arise.
  • Develop and conduct staff training for team members focusing on their development.
  • Continuously monitor team workload and propose changes where necessary.

Other Responsibilities

  • Be aware of the hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures.
  • Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management.
  • Always maintain a high standard of Ethics, Personal Appearance and Hygiene.
  • Participate in hotel initiatives on Environment and Community development.
  • Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the assigned by the Management.


Knowledge and Experience

  • Diploma in Accounting / Finance
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar capacity
  • Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and relevant hotel Finance and non-finance systems
  • Proficient in Indonesian and International Accounting Standard, and Taxation
