We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Catering Sales Manager to join our dynamic team in Chennai, India. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving catering sales, managing client relationships, and ensuring the successful execution of events.
- Develop and implement innovative sales strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones
- Conduct site inspections and create tailored proposals for prospective clients
- Negotiate contracts and pricing within established parameters
- Collaborate with the culinary team to design creative and cost-effective menu options
- Manage the entire event process, from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless event execution
- Conduct pre-event meetings and maintain on-site presence during events
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics
- Actively participate in industry networking events and trade shows
- Mentor and support junior team members to foster a collaborative work environment
- Diploma in Tourism, Hospitality Management, or Events Management
- Minimum 3 years of experience in group, catering, and conference sales
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Experience with event planning software
- In-depth knowledge of the catering and event management industry
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required
- Customer-focused mindset with attention to detail
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to adapt to changing priorities
