Job Description

As a Banquet Sales Executive, you will play a vital role in driving revenue growth for banquet and event spaces by effectively selling the venue's services, building strong client relationships, and delivering exceptional customer service throughout the sales process. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our banquet hall. You will manage the team, supervise the setup and execution of events, handle budgets, and communicate with clients to ensure their needs are met.

  • Sales and Marketing: The primary responsibility of a Banquet Sales Executive is to sell banquet and event spaces to potential clients. This involves identifying and prospecting new clients, following up on leads, conducting site tours, and presenting proposals to clients that highlight the venue's features, amenities, and services.
  • Event Planning and Coordination: Banquet Sales Executives are responsible for overseeing all aspects of event planning, from initial client inquiries to post-event follow-up. This includes understanding the client's needs, creating event proposals, coordinating with other departments (such as catering, audio-visual, and housekeeping), and ensuring that all details are executed smoothly.
  • Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining relationships with clients is essential for repeat business and positive word-of-mouth referrals. Banquet Sales Executives often act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing their questions, concerns, and special requests throughout the planning process and during the event itself.
  • Market Research and Analysis: To effectively sell banquet and event spaces, Banquet Sales Executives must stay informed about market trends, competitor offerings, and industry best practices. They conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for growth, develop pricing strategies, and differentiate their venue from competitors.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Banquet Sales Executives are often responsible for setting sales targets, developing sales forecasts, and managing budgets to ensure that revenue goals are met or exceeded. They track sales performance, analyze variances, and adjust strategies as needed to maximize profitability.
  • Financial Management: Managing the budget for each event is crucial to ensure profitability and cost control. Banquet executives may be responsible for creating event budgets, negotiating pricing with clients and vendors, tracking expenses, and ensuring that events meet revenue targets.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensuring the quality of service and guest satisfaction is paramount in the hospitality industry. Banquet executives monitor events closely, addressing any issues that arise promptly and proactively seeking feedback from clients and guests to continuously improve the overall experience.
  • Vendor Management: In addition to coordinating with internal departments, banquet executives often work with external vendors such as florists, decorators, and entertainment providers to fulfill client requests and enhance the event experience.
  • Compliance and Safety: Banquet Sales Executives must ensure that all events comply with health, safety, and legal regulations. This includes adhering to food safety standards, fire codes, and other industry regulations to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
  • Networking and Relationship Building: Building a strong network of industry contacts is essential for Banquet Sales Executives to generate leads and referrals. They attend networking events, trade shows, and industry conferences to connect with potential clients, event planners, and other professionals in the hospitality and events industry.
  • Contract Negotiation: Banquet Sales Executives negotiate contracts with clients, including pricing, terms and conditions, and event details. They ensure that contracts are legally sound, accurately reflect the client's needs and expectations, and protect the interests of the venue.

  • Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and vendors
  • Fluent in English
  • Must have soft skills
  • Proven experience in Banquet Sales or Event Planning and Management
  • Sales skills to drive revenue growth and build relationships with clients
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field
