Job Description

Are you an individual with a high level of attention to detail and how loves planning the perfect adventure? Are you one who is looking to grow your career in the area of Adventure & Experiences, for one of Fairmont’s busiest private guiding teams? We are seeking a highly energized, organized and professional candidate to join our Adventure & Experiences Team at the Castle in the Rockies!

Starting Rate: $23.55 per hour

We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. 

Job Duties Include:

  • Consistently offer professional, engaging and friendly service
  • Book all private guided tours
  • Complete pre-arrival calls for all private guided tours to prepare for upcoming experiences. This includes suggesting hiking & sightseeing routes, discussing fitness levels and managing food orders.
  • Manage reservation inbox and respond to requests
  • Work closely with the Adventure & Experiences Supervisor & Manager to maximize availability and ensure consistent scheduling for Guiding Team
  • Ensure correct billing for all tour charges
  • Assist with day to day programming reservation requests and review daily programming inventory to maximize availability
  • Assist with guest questions at the Adventure Centre
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Your Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with customer service and managing guest bookings
  • Previous experiences in Reservations, Activity Bookings, Private Guiding, Concierge or Resort Programming
  • Experience with activity/tour reservations software including UrVenue
  • Opera Property Manager System (PMS) an asset
  • Must display strong communication, analytical, organizational and administrative skills to be able to deal with multiple priorities simultaneously is required
  • Strong computer skills with a working knowledge Microsoft Office
  • Must be willing to work shifts (including split shifts) and varied days off on occasion and able to sit for long periods.

Additional Information

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
