Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Accounts Payable Executive to join our finance team at ibis Jaipur, India. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices.

  • Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the Accounts Payable department
  • Process and verify invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders in a timely manner
  • Reconcile vendor statements and handle vendor inquiries
  • Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial records
  • Perform month-end closing procedures and reconciliations
  • Generate and analyze financial reports for management review
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and maintain smooth operations
  • Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support
  • Monitor and maintain the accuracy of the vendor master file
  • Stay updated on accounting standards and best practices in accounts payable management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field in Finance is preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar capacity
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, particularly in accounts payable
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with vendors and team members
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with financial reporting and analysis
  • Knowledge of Indian tax regulations and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends and best practices
