Job Description

To utilize education and experience in the efficient operation, maintenance and repair of the physical plant, structure, utility services, equipment, fixtures, and furnishings for the hotel facility and associated buildings

 

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. You are required to take proper care of all material and tool.
  2. You are required to keep your working environment clean and tidy free from all potential hazard
  3. Self-started and proactive profile
  4. Ensures the application and the execution of the preventive maintenance programs.
  5. Maintains the cleanliness of the workplace and complies with both personal and environmental safety protocol.
  6. Should be able to manage the stock level
  7. Should have proper control and monitoring of the tools, equipment and materials to complete the job in a safe and efficient manner.
  8. Operate all type of woodworking equipment like Table saw, Radical saw, Planer, Jointer Drill etc.
  9. Check and repair metal and timber window, Door and Minor roof repairs.
  10. Construct framework into which concrete is poured.
  11. Examines the wood surface for defects, such as nicks, cracks, or blisters.
  12. Install door handles, locks, hardware, flooring underlay, insulating material and other fixtures.
  13. Ability to carry out deck and blind/curtain repair and any furniture repair
  14. Work with other department, for jobs get do be done,
  15. You should be flexible towards tasks assigned to him to work odd hours.
  16. make sure that all machineries are working properly
  17. Respond to emergencies such as fire and environmental hazards.
  18. follow preventive maintenance on the equipment that are assigned in your field of operation
  19. You are required to check all specification of parts and fittings before order
  20. Monitors jobs to ensure quality and compliance with job standards
  21. Maintain all the service records and the logbooks.
  22. Achieves the tasks, which are entrusted to him by the management.
  23. Recommends improvements, changes or new techniques and procedures
  24. Attends all safety and security trainings, adheres  and obeys to all resort policies and procedures
  25. Coordinates activities with other department and outside contractors
  26. Take part in all preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance and troubleshooting of all equipment in the assign fields
  27. Quick serve for emergency call other than preventive maintenance and Breakdown maintenance.
  28. Maintain the Daily work progress in a log sheet
  29. Make accurate estimate of work time and material needed for installation and repair and that of your sub ordinates.
  30. Monitor your sub ordinates attendance and leave record
  31. Plan and supervises the day to day Activities according to Manpower and Equipment.
  32. Clear and well defined instruction to the sub-ordinate.
  33. Develop and maintain effective working relation with other department and public.
  34. Takes part in the meetings of the Engineering department.
  35. Attends all trainings performed at the resort general and departmental.
  36. You will be required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other related duties as assigned by the management.  The hotel reserves the right to update, revise or change this job description and related duties at any time.  

Qualifications

  • Advanced Certificate in Carpentry and Joinery
  • Sound knowledge and skills in Carpentry and wood work
  • Knowledge in basic health and safety related to this field and you are require to abide to.
