Resort Driver (On-Call)

The courtesy car driver is responsible for transporting the guests via golf cart, sedan, SUV, 15 passenger van and Sprinter shuttle vehicles on and off property.

Responsibilities:

· The courtesy car driver is responsible for transporting guests via golf cart, sedan, SUV, 15 passenger van and Sprinter shuttle vehicles on and off property.

· Must be able to communicate to guests about the Del Mar, Solana Beach and La Jolla area.

· Must have basic knowledge of San Diego County, including restaurants, shopping areas, attractions and freeways.

· Commercial driver’s license with passenger endorsement preferred.

Qualifications and Skills:

· High School graduate or equivalent

· Experience preferred

· Must have ability to communicate well both verbally and written. Reading and counting is essential.

· Must have a valid California license and clean driving record.

· Ability to work evenings/weekends/holidays

· Ability to sit/stand for periods of time

· Frequent reaching/bending/heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.

· Excellent communication and guest service skills.

· Must have a basic knowledge of the San Diego area including directions to areas of interest, restaurants and suggested local attractions.

· Ability to work outdoors

· Special License and Certification – Commercial driver’s license with Passenger endorsement strongly preferred.

Additional Requirements:

· All colleagues must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per The Grand Del Mar grooming standards.

Rate of Pay: $16.85/hr
