Main Duties:

Administration: Requisitions food orders from store room and daily market list

Customer Service: Ensure that guests have service up to standards as of Novotel.

Financial: Responsible for all food product related cost.

Operational:

1. Responsible for all pastry room operations with full commitment to organize and run the operations effectively.

1. Maintains proper sanitation procedures and practice good housekeeping procedures for the entire work area, walk-in refrigerator, freezer, tables, bins, stoves, ovens, etc.

1. Plans, directs, controls and co-ordinates the activities of all personnel engaged in preparing, baking, cooking, selling food and cleaning to ensure an efficient and smooth operation.

1. Promotes and maintains effective communication between workers.

1. Sees to it that the kitchen is always in a safe condition to prevent unnecessary accidents.

1. Produces show pieces and buffet decorations out of chocolate and sugar for banquets and restaurants.

1. Writes recipe cards and prepares dishes for photographing and keeps file.

1. Knows all Job Descriptions of his sub-ordinates and assists in all tasks necessary.

Personnel: Establish rapport among co-employees at all levels and training.

Other Duties: Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
