Maintenance - Duty Technician - Painter

An exciting opportunity has emerged for a skilled and ambitious Duty Technician to join our experienced Engineering Team and help keep our properties running smoothly and safely.

• Respond promptly and professionally to guest maintenance requests.
• Maintain external façades and high-traffic areas to ensure the hotels always look their best.
• Conduct general maintenance and repairs
• Assisting in basic plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, and air conditioning services.
• Paint, repair, and maintain internal and external surfaces, furniture, and equipment to a high standard.
• Prepare, mix, and apply paints, stains, and finishes using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Repair and install wall coverings, caulking, grouting, varnish, and lacquer finishes.
• Work collaboratively with a supportive, knowledgeable engineering team.

• A “can-do” attitude and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
• Trade qualification in Painting & Decorating or related field (preferred)
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Willingness to work across a 7-day rotating roster (penalty rates apply).
• Strong knowledge of paint types, surface preparation, and application techniques.
• Ability to operate hand tools and small machinery safely.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
