Job Description

Join our team at Mercure Kooddoo Resort in the beautiful Maldives as a Guest Service Agent! We're looking for a friendly and professional individual to create unforgettable experiences for our guests from check-in to check-out.

  • Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression
  • Efficiently manage the check-in and check-out processes, including handling guest accounts
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest inquiries and requests
  • Provide detailed information about resort amenities, services, and local attractions
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
  • Handle guest complaints and issues with empathy and professionalism
  • Maintain accurate guest records and reservations using hotel management systems
  • Promote resort facilities and services, identifying opportunities for upselling
  • Ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
  • Assist with additional administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in guest service or hospitality, preferably in a luxury resort setting
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse clientele
  • Strong customer service orientation with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences
  • Ability to remain calm and provide excellent service in high-pressure situations
  • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Proficiency in hotel management systems and basic computer skills
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Multilingual skills are highly desirable, Arabic / French / Turkish / Chinese, with English fluency required
  • Willingness to work in a remote island setting in the Maldives
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with luggage when necessary
