• Repair and maintain almost any machinery or device by using their advanced knowledge about functioning of many systems. They specialize in specific areas depending on type of business, including industrial maintenance mechanics, boiler mechanics, aircraft mechanics, air conditioning mechanics, bicycle mechanics, general mechanics, and many other sectors. Mechanics diagnose technical issues, for instance in a car, and then fix those problems by repairing or replacing some parts.
• The post requires excellent hand-eye coordination and analytical thinking skills as well as proper training and a reasonable level of physical fitness; strength and flexibility are necessary for some common tasks in this hands-on role. Certification and training are typically achieved via technical colleges or even vocational school (in the case of automobile, HGV/diesel and industrial specialists)
• Keep generators in clean and healthy condition.
• Regular servicing of generators as per the schedule and requirements.
• Regular cleaning of radiators as per the schedule and requirements.
• Keep the generator room and panel rooms clean and safe.
• Keep RO plant in clean and healthy condition.
• Regular servicing of RO plants as per the schedule and requirements.
• Regular filter cleaning and back wash of the system.
• Checking and maintaining all kind of pumps and motors.
• Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing; completing preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters.
• Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to user request; conducting inspections; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components; repairing body damage.
• Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
• Any additional duties assigned by management and superior.

• College diploma or equivalent qualifications
• Minimum of 4-5 years of similar experience
• Past experience of working in the Maldives
• Additional certification(s) in Mechanic / Enginering will be an advantage
• Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
