Gardener supervisor

We are looking for a Gardener supervisor to join the pre-opening of SLS The Red Sea.

Ennismore, with its luxury brand SLS Hotels, is currently opening a magnificent project in the oasis that is The Red Sea. SLS The Red Sea is planned to open in 2025.

Job Overview:
As a Gardener Supervisor, you will oversee the maintenance and beautification of the hotel's gardens, plants, and lawns. Your primary responsibilities include supervising the gardening team, ensuring the health and appearance of all plant life, and maintaining a welcoming and attractive outdoor environment for guests.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision: Lead and supervise the gardening team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient operations.
- Maintenance and Care: Oversee and perform tasks such as planting, watering, fertilizing, pruning, mowing, and weeding to maintain the health and appearance of gardens and lawns.
- Landscape Design: Assist in designing and implementing landscape plans, selecting plants and hardscaping materials that complement the hotel's style and function.
- Equipment Management: Ensure the proper use and maintenance of gardening tools and equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to and enforce health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for the gardening team.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of gardening activities, including plant care schedules, equipment maintenance, and inventory of supplies.
- Guest Interaction: Respond courteously to guest inquiries and requests related to the hotel's gardens and outdoor areas.

Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or degree in Horticulture, Landscaping, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience as a gardener or in a similar supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
- Skills:
  - Strong knowledge of plant care, landscaping, and gardening techniques.
  - Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  - Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  - Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  - Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  - Proficiency in using gardening tools and equipment.

Preferred Skills:
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in horticulture or landscaping.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in performing gardening tasks.
- Customer Service: Strong customer service skills to address guest concerns and ensure a positive guest experience.
