Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Guest Engagement: Warmly welcome guests upon arrival, escort them to their tables, and ensure their comfort throughout their dining experience.

  2. Menu Knowledge: Provide detailed information about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, and make recommendations based on guest preferences.

  3. Order Management: Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests, ensuring all special requests are communicated to the kitchen and bar.

  4. Service Coordination: Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and maintain smooth service flow.

  5. Upselling: Proactively promote menu items, beverages, and special promotions to maximize revenue opportunities.

  6. Quality Assurance: Monitor and ensure the quality of food and beverage presentation meets Fairmont standards before serving to guests.

  7. Problem Resolution: Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues to the guest's satisfaction.

  8. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with fellow team members to provide seamless service and contribute to a positive working environment.

  9. Hygiene and Safety: Adhere to hygiene and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe work environment for guests and colleagues.


    Qualifications

    • Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry preferred.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays as per business needs.
    • Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including wine service, is an advantage.
    • Diploma or degree in hospitality management or a related field is desirable.
