Job Description

  • Creating and updating the menu, with a focus on local producers
  • Developing an attractive breakfast and dinner menu
  • Oversee the operations concerning food production in all service area which belongs to our kitchen and stewarding operations.
  • Overall organisation, management and control of the kitchen
  • Issuing instructions for the operation of the kitchen
  • Keeping abreast of current gastronomic trends
  • Supervising the preparation and serving of food
  • Personal communication with guests, maintaining constant contact
  • Performing tasks related to the management of the kitchen
  • Liaising with external suppliers and hotel departments to ensure that guests' requirements are met on time and to the highest quality.
  • Maintain food safety & hygiene to international standards and also ensure compliance as per local regulations.
  • Administrative tasks (e.g.: preparing end-of-month and end-of-year equipment inventories, active participation in inventory, preparing work schedules for kitchen staff, scheduling holidays, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Specialist qualifications
  • At least 5 years of professional and managerial experience
  • Experience in cost management and HACCP standards
  • Intermediate knowledge of English
  • Creativity and innovative spirit
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good organisational, motivational and interpersonal skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Guest- and quality-oriented thinking
