Welcome to Sofitel Cairo Downtown, a new destination in the heart of Cairo, combining luxury, elegance, and French art de vivre, We are seeking an organized and efficient Engineering Administrative Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide crucial administrative support to our engineering department, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication within the team and across the organization.


Job Description

Main Duties.

  • Manage and maintain engineering department schedules, including meetings, appointments, and project timelines
  • Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, and presentations for the engineering team
  • Organize and maintain digital and physical filing systems for engineering documents and records
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and expense reports for engineering staff
  • Assist in the preparation of engineering project proposals and documentation
  • Liaise with other departments and external partners to facilitate information flow
  • Handle confidential and time-sensitive information with discretion
  • Provide general administrative support, including answering phones, managing emails, and ordering supplies
  • Assist in coordinating engineering-related events and meetings
  • Support the onboarding process for new engineering team members

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field (preferred)
  • 2-3 years of administrative experience, preferably in an engineering or technical environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
  • Demonstrated time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Basic understanding of engineering terminology and concepts
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Administrative certification (e.g., Certified Administrative Professional)
