Job Description

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Demi Chef de Partie to join our culinary team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of food quality and presentation while supporting the Chef de Partie in daily operations.

  • Assist the Chef de Partie in organizing and managing the assigned kitchen section
  • Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
  • Ensure proper mise-en-place for your station and maintain cleanliness throughout your shift
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely food service
  • Monitor and maintain proper food storage, handling, and safety practices
  • Contribute to menu development and suggest new dishes or improvements
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
  • Participate in inventory management and food cost control
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations
  • Assist in other kitchen sections as needed during peak hours or staff shortages

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role within a professional kitchen setting
  • Culinary education or relevant certifications in the culinary arts
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong teamwork abilities and a collaborative mindset
  • In-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation standards
  • Thorough understanding of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Creative approach to food preparation and presentation
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when required
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools
  • Adaptability to work in diverse cultural environments
