Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef de Partie to join our culinary team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining excellent standards of hygiene and efficiency.

  • Manage and coordinate activities within your designated kitchen section
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to menu specifications and quality standards
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in menu planning and development
  • Ensure proper food storage, handling, and rotation to maintain freshness and minimize waste
  • Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Monitor and control food costs within your section
  • Assist in inventory management and placing orders for supplies
  • Participate in menu tastings and contribute creative ideas for new dishes
  • Ensure timely and efficient food service during peak hours

Qualifications

  • Proven experience of 2-3 years as a Chef de Partie or in a similar culinary role
  • Strong cooking skills with expertise in various cuisines and cooking techniques
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institution (preferred)
  • Creativity in dish presentation and menu development
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary
  • Proficiency in kitchen management software and inventory systems (preferred)
