Business Development Executive

The Business Development Executive identifies and pursues new growth opportunities, builds client relationships, and drives revenue by positioning the company as a preferred partner. They focus on strategic outreach and long-term client engagement to achieve sales goals and expand market presence.

• Actively target and secure new business opportunities across all market segments
• Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers to position Sofitel as the preferred venue
• Consistently achieve or exceed set KPIs and sales targets
• Proactively generate and qualify leads for conversion
• Maximize revenue by showcasing exceptional selling abilities and understanding client needs
• Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure the Hotel's goals are met
• Represent Sofitel Gold Coast at key industry events and networking to enhance brand visibility and drive business

What you will bring to the role:

• A luxury attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a high EQ are essential to succeed in this competitive industry
• You are a self-motivated sales professional with a proven track record in outbound sales and business development
• Deep understanding of market segments relevant to luxury hotels, including corporate, events, meetings, and group sales
• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with excellent relationship management
• Experience with outbound sales, including face-to-face meetings, networking, and trade events
• Willingness to work varying hours and travel within the region for client meetings, field sales calls and events
• Knowledge and ability to operate Opera Cloud Software and various CRM systems
