Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant & Bar Manager to join our team in Miri, Malaysia. As the Restaurant & Bar Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our establishment, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maximizing profitability. This role requires a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual who can effectively lead a team while maintaining high standards of food and beverage quality.

  • Oversee all aspects of restaurant and bar operations, including staff management, inventory control, and financial performance
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and improve customer satisfaction
  • Create and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for guests, ensuring high-quality service standards are consistently met
  • Manage and train staff, including hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluations
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and update menus, ensuring they align with current trends and customer preferences
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, placing orders with suppliers as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and liquor regulations
  • Analyze sales data and financial reports to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving measures
  • Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally and efficiently
  • Coordinate with other departments to support special events and promotions
  • Stay informed about industry trends and implement innovative ideas to enhance the guest experience

Qualifications

  • Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in restaurant and bar management
  • Strong knowledge of beverage trends, cocktails, wines, and zero-alcohol options
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and profitability
  • Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to create memorable guest experiences
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Experience with inventory management and cost control systems
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Demonstrated business acumen and financial management skills
