Sabah is moving towards high-end tourism with the construction of its first dedicated convention centre. A prestigious development by Yayasan Sabah Group encompassing 15 acres of land with a total built-up area of over 92,000 m2, the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) is targeted for opening by 2020.

The SICC offers 5,300 m2 column-free convention hall, 5,300 m2 exhibition hall alongside with 20 meeting rooms, 4 VVIP meeting rooms and 3 VVIP lounges as well as a world standard performing arts hall with a permanent two-tier seating for l,250 audiences.

Essential and optional requirements

PREREQUISITES

* Diploma in Information Technology and or Management Information Systems

* Minimum 3 years of experience in 3 - 5-star hotel or International Convention Centre

* Highly advanced analytical abilities with operational vision

* Proven working experience as an IT Executive or relevant experience

* Hands-on experience with computer networks administration and network installation

Key tasks

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Troubleshoot, modify, support, manage issues related to computer software and systems and maintain applications of programs and user accounts

* Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken or installation activities

* Train or advise Users in the proper use of hardware or software with care

* Manage and coordinate planning, design, operations maintenance and other resource allocation of telecommunications activities

* Consult with and advise others on administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities and methods related to telecommunications

* Monitor activities and production of tech departments

* Manage external vendors’ relationships and services

* Able to analyse, recommend and implement process improvements and enhancement.
