Essential and optional requirements

An innovative approach, in order to maximise profitability and to ensure ongoing development of the team
Ability to manage and exceed Food & Beverage financial performance targets
Solid financial understanding of budgets and cost control systems to assist in developing staff
A supportive, hands-on management style showing effective leadership traits
A passion for delivering a great Food & Beverage product
Strong customer focus
Previous experience in a hotel and having worked with micros and Opera would be advantageous
At least one year experience in a similar role
General Managers, LCQ and First Aid Certificate
You must be eligible to work in New Zealand

Key tasks

Reporting to the Hotel Manager and working closely with the Head Chef, you will be responsible for the professional and cost effective running of a very successful department, effectively managing employees development and guest satisfaction. We have a well established small team here and we are looking for the next leader – someone with a passion for all things hospitality, ample of innovation, self motivated and a natural leader to lead the team to further success. At ibis we ensure our staff are cross trained into other areas of the hotel – which means Food & Beverage super stars are also able to checkin a guest! So flexibility is a must.
