Rotorua’s newest premium hotel will have panoramic views of the city and lake area and feature an executive lounge, restaurant and bar, gymnasium, four meeting rooms catering for conference and events as well as 130 rooms including four Suites. This is an exciting time for the local community and a great opportunity to be part of this project and assist to bring to life.

This hotel is scheduled to open in late 2019.

In order to be successfull you must have:
- Proven reservations and revenue management experience.
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle tight deadlines are essential.
- 2-3 years experience in Hotel Reservations – FIT and Group
- Strong customer and administrative focus
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Opera PMS and EzRMS or other Revenue Management system is desired.
- Hotel operation experience necessary

Key tasks

We are looking for a passionate person who is looking for a new challenge and opportunity to grow their revenue and reservations career.

You will need to enjoy numbers, have high level of customer service and communication skills, accuracy, not be afraid to share your ideas, and able to lead a team through the opening of our first 5 Star hotel in Rotorua.

This role reports to the General Manager of the hotel, and also works closely with the Director of Revenue for New Zealand, Fiji & French Polynesia.

Pullman Rotorua is a brand new 5 star hotel opening in late 2019. This amazing property has 130 rooms, along with conference spaces and we are looking for someone to help bring this hotel to life.

You will be responsible for:
-Managing the day to day reservations department, with one direct report
- Implementing strategies to maximize the revenue of the hotel.
-Conduct strategic analysis to optimise hotel revenue while understanding marketplace.
- Consistently review the market and competitors in pricing and adjust strategy appropriately.
- Ensure targets are met for turnaround times
- Able to manage large volumes of correspondence
- Work closely with the hotel Sales manager to drive the business
- Liaise with GM, and other departments to ensure clear, concise information is given to Hotel departments in a timely manner
