Key tasks

• To assists the Marcom Manager in maintaining a high level of acceptance of the hotel to its targeted public through various Marketing and public relations activities according to plans set by the hotel.
• To assist the Marcom Manager in creating opportunities through guests or media contacts regularly. This is to ensure consistent rapport and building positive goodwill.
• To assist the Marcom Manager in developing and maintaining high level contacts with key media in the community and to ensure proper dissemination of the hotel’s policies, objectives and actions to the general public in that locality.
• To assist the Marcom Manager in controlling the hotel’s database or mailing list development and maintaining a loyalty and frequent-user programmed.
• To assist the Marcom Manager in maintaining, updating relevant social media ie. Facebook, Twitter and Whatsapp.
• Develop and create media releases, key messages, media FAQs, speeches, and presentations where required.
• To assist Marcom Manager in creative inpit on hotel controllers for in-house merchandising and generates new ideas for packaging and promoting restaurant and bar outlets in order to remain competitive.
• To assist the Marcom Manager in developing story ideas consistent with the needs of local and national media and ensure press clippings distributions are done on a daily basis.
• To assist Marcom Manager in providing public relations support in the areas of food and beverage promotions, specifically in publicizing them in the local market.
• To assist or give input to Marcom Manager for the development of local and out of market rooms advertising strategy in conjunction with the hotel appointed advertising agency.
• To assist Marcom Manager in developing the hotel’s PR/Communication Plan consistent with the Corporate Marketing Objectives
• To assist Marcom Manager in preparing comprehensive advertising briefs to the hotel’s appointed advertising agency prior to undertaking any advertising campaigns or production of collaterals.
• Keep current the marketing trends, innovations, communication techniques and any media regulations.
• Welcome all V.I.P. guests arriving in the hotel.
• Attend social events both in-house and outside.
• Responsible for community related events and exhibitions organized by the hotel.
