Sabah is moving towards high-end tourism with the construction of its first dedicated convention centre. A prestigious development by Yayasan Sabah Group encompassing 15 acres of land with a total built-up area of over 92,000 m2, the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) is targeted for opening by 2020.

The SICC offers 5,300 m2 column-free convention hall, 5,300 m2 exhibition hall alongside with 20 meeting rooms, 4 VVIP meeting rooms and 3 VVIP lounges as well as a world standard performing arts hall with a permanent two-tier seating for l,250 audiences.

REQUIREMENT

* Diploma / Degree in Audio and visual or related fields

* Minimum 2 – 3 years of AV operations management experience

* Able to communicate well in English and Bahasa Malaysia, verbal and written

* Good interpersonal skills & self-starter with a strong sense of commitment

Key tasks
RESPONSIBILITIES

* Oversee the set-up of AV equipment in banquet and meeting rooms

* Ensure all AV equipment is fully operational, repair or clean equipment when necessary

* Assist and instruct guests/customers regarding proper usage and operation of AV equipment, up-sell different AV services, and monitor equipment operation at appropriate intervals

* Work with event staffs and production teams to service audio-visual needs for external events and internal in-house hotel events and presentations

* Ensures that the maintenance of all electronics-related equipment and its associated auxiliaries are carried out in accordance with the Standard Engineering practice

* Ensures that the equipment's & tools meet their requirements & specifications before they their deployment

* Provides technical assistance regarding the types of visual aids to be used and provides instruction on the equipment use

* Conducts preventive maintenance and engages in troubleshooting if any technical issues arise

* Ensures the safe operation for all AV setups with regards to equipment and wiring.
