Job Description

Your Opportunity:

  • Operational Innovation: Identify and seize opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains, challenging the status quo to raise operational standards to new heights.
  • Talent Acquisition: Lead talent acquisition and onboarding efforts to meet the evolving workforce needs of our hotel while nurturing and elevating internal talent.
  • Learning & Development: Bring to life signature Sofitel brand programs that enhance employee skills and knowledge, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Engagement and Motivation: Develop and implement initiatives that engage and motivate our diverse workforce, fostering a positive, inclusive, and vibrant work environment where everyone thrives.
  • Employee Relations: Provide advice and support to ambassadors on related matters, policies and procedures
  • Partnership: Work with the Talent & Culture Manager to collaborate closely with business leaders to understand their goals and challenges, offering strategic HR guidance and support that drives sustainable success.
  • Reporting & Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of HR data through meticulous reporting and checklist completion.
  • Workplace Health & Safety: Champion health, safety, and welfare initiatives to protect and support our ambassadors along with being part of the WHS Committee.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience:

  • Qualification and Experience: A qualification in Human Resources or a related field, coupled with 2-3 years of hands-on experience in Human Resources.
  • Communication and Relationship-Building: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that enable you to build meaningful relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Innovative Thinking: A proven ability to think outside the box and drive innovative solutions to complex business challenges, fuelling our quest for excellence.
  • HR Expertise: Sound knowledge of HR processes and legislation, including IR legislation such as FairWork and NES, ensuring compliance and fairness in all HR practices. Exposure to HIGA advantageous.
  • Adaptability and Positivity: The ability to multitask and prioritize effectively while maintaining a positive attitude, even in the face of challenges.
