We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join us in offering a new attitude for cosmopolitan business and leisure travellers visiting the Qantas Lounges - Sydney. The team consists of 400 employees across our Sydney Lounges. Our busy Lounge operation caters for Qantas's most valuable passengers every week.

We are looking for a Full time and Part time - Kitchen Hand to join our fast pace working environment to provide high quality customer service to our guests.


Job Description

About the role;
We are seeking multiple Kitchen Hand to join our team within the Qantas Lounges by Accor at the Sydney Domestic Airport. Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the Kitchen department. 

Duties;

  • Action cleaning duties within the kitchen, food preparation areas and scullery
  • Operate dish washing machine as per instruction manual
  • General pantry duties and maintaining cleanliness of pantry, fridges and freezers
  • Ensure all kitchens are kept clean and tidy according to current Health & Hygiene regulations.
  • Ensure correct handling of chemicals and equipment as per manufacturers instructions.
  • Prepare mise-en-place as required
  • Promote a safe workplace by recognising hazards and promoting general WHS practices
  • Rotational roster 

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
  • Preferred experience within the hospitality or hotel industry
  • Understanding of food safety requirements.
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • MUST have flexibility to work various rostered shifts, including early mornings and weekends

The successful applicant will need to have existing full working rights within Australia.
